This is a great little song that I’m sure most of the Twitter community has heard.  If not however, I strongly suggest you take a moment to listen and enjoy it.  I thought it was fabulous!! I’ll include the link to the video that’s on YouTube as well: http://snurl.com/3stg3-nc

Twitter twitter everywhere!!!!

Has anyone else noticed there are a million different applications and web sites out there for Twitter and yet not one is the ultimate option?!? There are a bunch that have great interfaces or cool functions or one really interesting feature. There has yet to be one that combines the best from all these applications. I currently have three, count it THREE, Twitter applications installed on my iPhone3G (Twitteriffic, Twinkle, and Twitterlater).  That is just way too much. Each one does something the others can’t. For example:

Twitteriffic has a great user interface.  It’s clean, easy to read, includes user information, updates my profile location, and is integrated with TwitPic. I also like the different color backgrounds it gives replies and DM’s. It makes them stand out so I never miss a comment directed at me.

Twinkle does not have as nice an interface but it does have one feature that I absolutely LOVE, and that’s the ability to show the tweets from people within a given radius from you.  I can choose to see all the tweets from people 50 miles away or 1 mile. That’s a great way to find out what going on where you are.

Twitterlator is the only easy way I can think of to post photos to twitter and twitpic or post a link og a google map of my location. If I want to let people know where I am, Twitterlator will do all the work for me and make it a nice short url to a google map.

The reason I don’t like posting to TwitPic from Twitteriffic is because the photos get rotated by the application. Twinkle does photos as well, but I’ve had trouble posting with it.

I also really love the web application Hahlo for the iPhone, but I can’t keep using the internet everytime I want to post a tweet or read other tweets.

So in conclusion, you can see, there are a number of different options out there for people to keep in touch on twitter.com, but none are home runs. If we could just combine the three apps I discussed, maybe, just maybe, the world wold be a safer place.

Tumblr iPhone App Released!

I just downloaded the Tumblr Application that was recently released on Apple’s AppStore. This is just a little test to make sure it works properly. The interface is very userfriendly, and not too busy. Simple and to the point. I look forward to using this app and hopefully it will boost my desire to continue blogging!!

All I can say is: WOW.

Shut Up and Blog Already!

Sooooo, it’s been a while now since I last updated this fabulous little tumblelog you are reading, and I apologize for that.  I kept telling myself that I was going to create a wonderful custom design for my blog and once that was complete I would start posting again.  Well clearly I haven’t made a single change and I don’t see any happening for a little while.  I figured I might as well suck it up and just start posting again and work on my design whenever I can find time.  So I hope you do not hold my horrible page design and default template against me and continue to follow the little nothings that I post from my life here in Chicago.  I hope everyone is having a great day!

Also, feel free to follow me on Twitter and Friendfeed!!

Testing out my new Ping.fm account! I like it!
